(Worthy News)– Church leaders are asking all Egyptians living in Libya to return home because their lives are at risk.

According to Barnabas Aid, more than 45,000 Egyptians in Libya have already left after the Islamic State released a video in February showing the beheadings of 21 Coptic Christians along the Libyan coast.

Many Copts seek work where the wages are higher so that they can send more money back to their impoverished families in Egypt. But with anti-Christian violence spreading unabated across the Middle East, the Egyptian government has decided to aid in the return of all of its citizens currently in Libya.
