Rand Paul: It’s time to discuss taxpayer funding for ‘gruesome’ Planned Parenthood

(Worthy News) – Republican presidential candidate Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., will keep up his efforts to defund Planned Parenthood and plans to “try to force a vote” to do so, he said Sunday.

In the wake of recently released undercover videos that show high level Planned Parenthood executives haggling over prices of aborted fetal organ parts, Paul said on “Fox News Sunday,” “I think the time is now to discuss whether taxpayer dollars should be going to such a gruesome procedure.”

“People are outraged by this and I think the American people deserve to have a vote on it,” Paul said. [ Source ]

Richards: ‘Most Disgusting Part’ About Planned Parenthood Videos is Deceit of Pro-Life Activists

Planned Parenthood president Cecile Richards said the “most disgusting part” about undercover videos showing officials discussing aborted fetal organs is the pro-life activists who made them were deceitful to get access.

“The most disgusting part of this to me is that these folks lied to gain access to clinics,” she said Sunday on ABC’s This Week. “What doctors and clinicians face to actually provide health care for the women in this country is already pretty incredible.”

The two videos from the Center for Medical Progress, which have sparked many Republicans to call for a full inquiry, show officials casually discussing how much Planned Parenthood charges to provide the organs of aborted fetuses. [ Source ]
