Every Person To Have Bible Translation By 2025

Saturday, January 17, 2009 (1:17 pm)

By George Whitten, Jerusalem Bureau Chief

JERUSALEM, ISRAEL (Worthy News) –- The world's main Bible translation organization has unveiled a plan to ensure that every person will be able to read the best-selling and most-translated book of all-time in its own language by 2025.

In a statement to Worthy News Saturday, January 17, Wycliffe Bible Translators said its initiative, Last Languages, will involve translating the Bible in the last remaining 2,400 languages within 20 years. It said the speed of translating the Bible increased since the 19th century, but "most significantly" in the past 20 years, allowing staff to work in "a full-sprint" to complete the goal set by Wycliffe.

Wycliffe said it has currently some 6,400 workers in the field in 93 countries, but admitted it would need an additional 3,000 staff for its billion-dollar project. Out of the 6,909 language groups in the world today, about one in three do not have a Bible translation program yet, the organization added.

It said some 200 million people in 2,400 languages have "yet to be reached" with a copy of the Bible in their own language. It said it was encouraged that its project, launched in November last year, has already received a $50 million capital injection from an anonymous donor. The organization apparently believes it will be able to raise enough cash to finish the program.

YOU are CORRECT! The last remaining 2400 languages WILL have copies of the Bible in their
native language – the ONE PURE language of JESUS’ Kingdom. According to Jeremiah 29:10,
I expect the Lord Jesus to return on the Feast of Trumpets 2018 c. the earliest – seven years before your goal date. This means the tribualtion starts around 2011 AD. If I am correct,
expect signs of the end: 1. Preaching of the true Gospel to the nations; 2. Keeping of GOD’s
Sabbaths listed in Lev.23; 3. Nuclear disarmament in space; 4. Archaeological, geological,
historical discoveries offering large caches of physical proof of Bible events; 5. Killer earthquakes
in many different places – magnitude 7.0 & greater; 6. Social reform to remove the criminals
out of national governments; 7. A US-Iran War; 8. Meteor showers that kill people; 9. The
establishment of the Church of GOD – a new denomination; 10. The excavation of Mt. OPHEL &
the building of the jews’ temple on it. These & other signs must come to pass before the
tribulation begins. There is NO rapture! This will be a disappointment to millions & also another
sign. Then the tribulation begins with a jewish high priest or prophet who teaches Israel &
the world of GOD’s laws fulfilling Micah 4:1-2. Won’t YOU repent today & believe the truth??
There is NO second chance in the resurrection! Heb.9:27; Rev.20:7-15.
In Jesus’ Name, Clifford Catton – Jan.17, 2009.

  • M.L. Brock says:

Thanks George for letting this cracked pot give his/her opinion. We shall know the truth and the truth shall set us free.

There’s a crack and that is where the light comes in so let’s shed some light here shall we?

Colossians 2:16-17 : Let no man therefore judge you in eating, or in drinking, or with respect to a feast day or a new moon or Shabbat, which are a shadow of the things to come; but the body is Messiah’s.

    Colossians 2:20-23 :

If you died with Messiah from the elements of the world, why, as though living in the world, do you subject yourselves to ordinances, “Don’t handle, nor taste, nor touch” (all which things are to perish with the using), after the precepts and doctrines of men? Which things indeed appear like wisdom in self-imposed worship, and humility, and severity to the body; but aren’t of any value against the indulgence of the flesh.

So much for “2. Keeping of GOD’s Sabbaths listed in Lev.23″

Cabbott sounds like a Sacred Namer? Usually someone who is caught up in a cult and idolizing an image of ideology instead of say a stone or bronze image of being a “sabbath keeper”, going back under the Law of Sin and Death, and being a wanna be Jew as opposed to a Hebrew (big difference as most “Jews” are not “Jews”, but in name only as the descendants of Abraham to Isaac to Jacob include more than just “Jewish” peoples, ref. Katura’s sons, Ishmael’s sons, etc.) is also a Sacred Namer. It means that words or so important to them they won’t use the word Jesus. Sounds like Zeus, the Greek cultural influence has the “eus” sound in a lot of their words and since THEY are Pagan then Jesus is a pagan word so we must instead learn a “PURE language” (aka self righteous pride, dead works of the flesh) and say “Yeshua” or “Yahoshuah” or some other dialectic/racial pride non-sense.

People like Cabbot give Messianic Christians a bad name with their fringe beliefs and obsessions.

To quote another more reputable source and being a TRUE Messianic Christian (eat non-kosher, wear mixed fabrics, attend services on Sunday or any day, use the word Jesus as well as Yeshua, etc. aka any “normal” christian) myself I’d use Zola Levitt. He seemed to be more balanced than most “Jewish” Christians and not so ethi-centric (like egocentric) about Jewish things (myself a Jewess).

Real Messianic Christian information from Levitt and letters sent in, notice the personal response, but notice even more what this flagship Messianic Ministry says, believes, and then you know why some stay on the fringe, become bitter, and jealous:

    Hello Dr. Seif,

I am a gentile presently attending a Messianic Jewish congregation.
I am confused. Have the Shabbat and kosher laws been revoked
or annulled? I know you have many duties, but I am hoping you
    might respond. Sincerely W.D.H.

    Dear W.D.H.—

Followers of Jesus are not required to follow the Law of Moses—
referred to as the Mosaic Covenant, which was made with the Jewish people at
the base of Mount Sinai. There are no binding obligations for Shabbat worship,
dietary laws, and the like. If, however, as an extension of your love for the Lord
you decide to keep the Jewish Laws, you would join the throng who celebrate
Jesus in His Jewish context. Just don’t make the mistake of many enthusiasts
who insist that others must also do so. Stay tuned for a new series in 2009
that will cover the Messianic Jewish experience. —Jeff

    Dear Dr. Seif,

Christians believe that God is God, as are Jesus and the Holy Spirit. Jews believe
that God is One. I now have a problem with Messianic Jews. What is their belief?
If the Messiah is Jesus, is He also God? Furthermore, could you explain why God’s
name is translated from the Hebrew as Jehovah? Sincerely, G. G.

    Hi G. G.—

As a Messianic Jew, I believe that God so loved the world that He sent His own
Son into it, and that the Messiah is thus divine. This is the classical position.
There are many, many names in the Hebrew Bible—of people, places, and
things—and they are given English equivalents. Yeshua is Jesus; Miriam is Mary,
etc. The Hebrew name for God carries the equivalent “JHVH,” commonly
referred to in the Hebrew as Jehovah. —Jeff

    Dr. Seif,

I am a lover and student of the Scriptures and represent the true people of Eloah
called the AbrAHUW and His true Nation “YAsrael.” I greatly appreciate your
efforts to acquaint the churches with the fundamentals of Judaism and our Jewish
cousins. But your teachings are faulty on the fundamentals of The Scripture,
including the acceptance of the pagan name of “Jesus.”
Since our time is valuable and your witness is very influential, would you meet
us in a private or public debate in Dallas over whether or not the name of Jesus
is scriptural? We are willing to put up $10,000 against your $10,000 that Jesus
never occurs in any of the 13,000 Scriptures in any language before 1000 AD. We
believe your false teachings come from ignorance and not lack of integrity at
present. We would like your ministry to help us restore the true Scriptures after
    you study them yourself.
It is not our desire to offend but to bless
you. I am His and your servant,
    R. AH.

    Dear R. AH.—
By debating you, I might lend credibility
to your argument—and this is something
to avoid. It is a fantasy to imagine that
    debating the pronunciation of Hebrew
words has relevance to God or today’s
world. Let’s not waste time. What is of
    utmost importance?—This: the fact that
some incline to call upon Him, whether
or not the syllables accord with someone’s
    absurd notions. Let’s glorify God!

  • Clifford Catton says:

Brock is wrong in “his” interpretation of scripture & venimous in “his” “christian” attitude.
Pagans were offering clean & unclean meats to idols, & Christians were concerned about buying
clean meats offered to idols. Paul reassured them it was permissable to eat the clean meats.
Since many of the new Christians were jews, Paul did not want them judged for observing extra
days for Passover that they observed. Some also contended about when the new moon
occurred – a matter of hours. My call to obey the Sabbaths is CHRISTIAN (gentile & jew), & is
the ETERNAL law in GOD’s Kingdom not in Brock’s. I am NOT jewish, but I become a jew, part of
THE jew – JESUS – in the resurrection when I will be born again as Spirit. If YOU reject truth
now, GOD will reject YOU, Matt.25:31-46. Mind the 10 prophecies I gave, for when they start
to be fulfilled YOU will beg for YOUR life! Repent of your evil intentions, or GOD will judge YOU.

In Jesus’ Name, Clifford Catton – Jan. 20, 2009.

  • Gloria says:

This is in response to Clifford Catton. You need to read the bible a little more closely.

Jesus says: Matthew 24:36 No one knows when that day or hour will come-not the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.

So to even think that you may be right, will only end up with you being totally wrong.

Also: You cannot love God, without accepting that Jesus Christ died for our sins, and rose again.

    God Bless.

    Gloria
