There was severe persecution after Christ rose up from death triumphantly. He is/was King of kings who is to come again in glory. The Apostles rebuked the persecutors condemning their actions as enemies of God who obstructed God's plan of Salvation - the persecutors were told that they were guilty of 'blood guiltiness'.Often the Apostles deliberately escaped the mobs and lived another day.The Lord had anointed the apostles to perform miracles in His Name so that all would turn to Jesus.We need to ask for these gifts earnestly. Our God saves not with horses and chariots but through those who fear Him.Also we need to communicate these human rights violations to the whole world- without fear continuosly.
