AP reported today,

“The Russian state-run company building Iran’s first nuclear plant said Monday that preparations for the reactor’s launch had entered their final stage.

Atomstroiexport chief Leonid Reznikov said that by year’s end the company will take steps that will make the launch of the Bushehr plant “irreversible.”

Nonproliferation expert David Albright, whose Washington-based Institute for Science and International Security tracks countries under nuclear suspicion, suggested that the steps referred to by Russia probably involved the loading of fuel into the reactor.

He said there are no irreversible steps, but taking out after it was loaded would be troublesome because it would require dealing with irradiated fuel and a contaminated reactor core.

As I’ve stated earlier, the possible timing for an Israeli strike on Iran is connected to the completion of the nuclear power plant in Bushehr.

Meanwhile, Iran is taking the necessary steps to defend itself as it enters into three days of war games reported by World Tribune.

Officials said the Iranian military has launched an air defense exercise designed to foil an air strike on nuclear facilities. They said the exercise began on Sept. 8 and would include the elite Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps. - World Tribune

With the relations between Russia and the U.S. increasingly being strained, it wouldn’t be surprising that the Russians will make the completion of this nuclear reactor a top priority!

Today Malaysia faces a major spiritual crossroad. Perhaps even as you read this blog, a woman named Lina Joy faces the highest court in all of Malaysia. Her case will decide whether or not she has the freedom to express her faith in Jesus Christ. If she loses this case, her fate will be decided by Islamic Sharia courts where they will undoubtedly find her guilty of apostasy and she will face a lengthy jail sentence. If she wins, it will open the doors for religious freedom in this extremely oppressed country.

Now, what are we going to do with this information? Are we going to just read this post and think … “Gee, I’m glad I don’t live over there!” Or are we going to stand with our brothers and sisters in Malaysia and pray for the Gospel doors to open wide?

As for me and my house, we will pick up our spiritual weapons of warfare and we will continue to pray for Lina Joy and this decision in Malaysia, knowing that we are alive for such a time as this!

In Italy this week, Jesus goes on trial! Mr.Luigi Cascioli is bringing a lawsuit against parish priest Rev. Enrico Righi for religious racism. Cascioli believes he’s the man who was “born against Christ and God”. Uyyy!

What I find it unbelievable about this whole thing is that Cascioli is proposing that Jesus never existed! (Source) Now, I’ve heard all sorts of interesting theories about who Jesus is but I’ve never come across a person who denies His very existence!

This reminds of the philosopher Voltaire who in the 1700’s claimed, “One hundred years from my day there will not be a Bible in the earth except one that is looked upon by an antiquarian curiosity seeker.” Ironically, his house was later purchased by the Geneva Bible Society and soon became their headquarters!

Hmmm. I wonder what will become of Luigi Cascioli’s house?
