As I was reading the text of the bailout plan on the Wall Street Journal, there was a clause that just jumped out and I had to re-read because it was so outrageous. Section 8 states:
Sec. 8. Review.
Decisions by the Secretary pursuant to the authority of this Act are non-reviewable and committed to agency discretion, and may not be reviewed by any court of law or any administrative agency.
The Secretary of the Treasury wants power to authorize $700 billion dollars to Wall Street, without any REVIEW and without any threat of being reviewed by a COURT OF LAW! Is it me, or does this sound fishy? Does it seem as if someone just trying to steal $700 billion dollars?
Until next time…

Correct! Robbers are going for the ultimate heist. Fiscal foolishness has brought us thus far, but this proposal is dead wrong!

If a bill passes, that clause will not be in the final bill. Democrats will never allow something like that nor do I think most Republicans would either. With that said this bail out plan does not seem like such a good idea to me.
