India Guru Teaches Christ to Followers

In March, a JESUS film team of the India Campus Crusade for Christ screened the film in Chinidana village in West Bengal. Some people who suffered from different illnesses stayed behind. A very aggressive, 65-year-old man began to preach Hinduism. After a few days he secretly came to meet the team members to request them to pray for his severe backache. The Lord touched him, and the old man received instant deliverance from his backache.

In joy, he tore the talismans off his body and ran home crying, "Lord Jesus is my Saviour and I will tell everyone that He healed me!" After a few days, the man's spiritual leader visited him and was amazed to see him completely healed. Earlier, the man had not even been able to walk upright. He testified to the guru who accepted his words eagerly. This guru had a following of about 500 disciples. He began to preach the gospel to all of them, telling them that he had been ignorant of the truth until that time and that he had been teaching them wrong beliefs. Many people in this village have come to the Lord.
