Special Prayer Alert issued by William Levi, president of Operation Nehemiah Missions.

Prayer alert for Rev. Michael Longwa, Overseas Senior field Director of Operation Nehemiah Missions, You can write a direct letter of encouragement to Michael Longwa at e-mail him at: Longwaus@yahoo.com

Dear Friends and partners of Operation Nehemiah Missions in the Great commission,

Richmond, MA -- On November 14, 2002, Operation Nehemiah Missions received emergency call from its overseas field director Rev. Michael Longwa.

I want you to lift up Rev. Michael Longwa, the overseas field director of Operation Nehemiah and the pastor of the Beth Israel Messianic congregation on the Nile based in Kampala, Uganda in your prayers. This is a Sudanese congregation in exile. He has been diagnosed with severe eye infection and doctor warned that if proper attention and treatment is not taken, he might lose his sight in the future. Operation Nehemiah sent him $200 a week ago to conduct preliminary examination and this is what he has been told by the doctor, to do a thorough diagnosis before it is too late. This is very serious warning on his health.

Michael has been used by God for the past 10 years to bring Operation Nehemiah Missions to where it is today. Loss of his sight will be a major set back not just for him and his family, but to the entire work of Operation Nehemiah Missions and the community which he is serving and who depend on his availability.

I pray that you will respond with your prayers and possible financial support. This is a man who has served God and his people with all his heart, mind and soul. Over the years he has risked his life under threat of Islamic bullets, and has persevered through all sorts of diseases in tropical Africa for the sake of the gospel. Michael needs $2,000.00 to fund his treatment. Michael has a young family. He is married to a godly woman named Palma and they have a year old son David. we need to intervene to help him.

Please respond as the Lord leads you.

All contributions in response to this alert will go to help Michael and His family. Operation Nehemiah is a tax exempt organization.
