By Jawad Mazhar, Worthy News Special Correspondent for reporting from Pakistan

KASUR, PAKISTAN (Worthy News) — Pakistan's Federal Minister for Minorities Affairs Shahbaz Bhatti said Sunday, July 5, he has "successfully reconciled" Muslims and Christians in a tense village in Punjab province where over a dozen people were injured when angry mobs torched at least 100 Christian homes and churches this week.

"I had been sent [Saturday July 4] by the Pakistani Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gillani to look into the matter and ensure that peace is restored and a truce is reached between the rival Christian-Muslim communities," Bhatti told Worthy News and its partner agency BosNewsLife after touring the village of Bahmani in Kasur District.

"Islam and Christianity teach to co-exist with peace and harmony," added the minister,  an outspoken Christian, who held talks with community leaders. He said each affected Christian family would receive 100,000 Pakistani Rupees ($1,260) in compensation.

Bhatti and other officials several of the estimated 100 houses and churches that were set ablaze July 1 by angry Muslims after a Muslim cleric accused Christian residents of blasphemy, residents said earlier.

PEOPLE INJURED

At least nine women and four children were injured when acid were thrown at them, witnesses said. They were later rescued by rights activists and received medical treatment,  officials told Worthy News.

Bhatti stressed that the area has to be “purged of the elements that have malign intentions to spread hatred among Pakistani citizen” and that people of all religions should live in peace.

The minister said he had told locals that although Pakistan is a mainly Muslim nation, even Pakistan's founder Quid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah “lauded efforts and sacrifices of Christians during the struggle of independence of Pakistan.”

He and other delegates urged residents to "bury the hatred and intolerance." The clashes in Bahmani, just outside the provincial capital Lahore, has underscored international concerns over rising Islamic extremism in Pakistan.

That minister above explained, is lier, what happened, Police don't allow to go in side. Behind thinking a great tradgy happened, in my life, this is third biggest crime and discrimination against Christians from Muslims. It is so easy for the Muslims in all over Pakistan, can easily attacked, kill, or murder Christians.
Pak-Government is not from God, since they came, our country is badly got storage of elecritcity, gas, petrol, and income, no jobs. I believe because of such crimes against Christians in this country
    creating such problems.
Pray with us to that God could change this situation.
God bess Christains in this very country, Pakistan

God bless these Christians indeed. However, Mr Minhas, please rememeber that we must show love, even in times where it is hardest. The Lord often told us to love our enemies and to pray for them.
      Matthew 5:44

The Lord showed the perfect example of this by still dying for us all on the cross.. It is only because of Him that we are His.
We love Him, Because he first loved us 1John 4:19

      Vengeance is the Lord's.
Yes, we should make a stand, but not by retaliating.. Do not recompense evil for evil. Show love, grace, forgiveness and mercy. The same mercy the Lord showed you. Show these men and women who are blind. The apostle Paul called himself 'chief' of blasphemers and persecutors (In 1Timothy) but look at his powerful testimony and how the Lord used Him!

Let us set outrselves apart. We willlift up the LORD JESUS CHRIST'S name in glory and honour and praise.

In His Alone and PRECIOUS Name!
      AMEN

In my opinion the time has come when christians in Pakistan should stand united and launch a massave campaign against these atrocities at all level and must demand for a seperate province, only and only a seperate province where the adminsitration and security is managed by christians can bring long lasting solution to this problem. Any fanatic mullah any time can use masjids loud speakers can incite muslims to kill innocent christians, and still more then 2.5 million christians are silent SURPRISING and let this to happen. How many of us will escape to western countires as assylum seekers, why should'nt we stay on our own land and fight for our just rights.Come on wake up.

    Praying

"Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:"
    John 11:25

    Hosanna! Hosanna!

"On the next day much people that were come to the feast, when they heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem,"
"Took branches of palm trees, and went forth to meet him, and cried, Hosanna: Blessed is the King of Israel that cometh in the name of the Lord."
    John 12:12-13

    Save Now!

"Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved."
    Acts 2:47

    Believe

"The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into his hand."
"He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him."
    John 3:35-36

    In The LORD Jesus Christ
And Be Blessed Beloved Of The KING
