(Worthy News) – A new study shows there has been a 3,000% increase in antisemitic incidents on US college campuses since the October 7, 2023, Hamas attack on Israel triggered the current war in Gaza.

Titled “2024 Report Card,” the study was published by the American StopAntisemism grassroots organization. The group has documented a massive surge in antisemitic incidents across the 25 American colleges it monitors. Even before the October 7 attack last year, the number of antisemitic incidents recorded on US college campuses had risen by 1,500% from 2022-2023, the organization reports.

In publishing this year’s report, the StopAntisemitism authors explain: “Our findings empower parents and students to make informed choices, ensuring their college experience is defined by growth and enjoyment—not fear, hatred, or hiding their identity.”

The 2024 report summarizes its “alarming” findings as follows:

  • “55% of Jewish students have personally been victims of antisemitism at their schools;
  • 43% did not feel safe enough to report the incidents;
  • Of those who did report, a staggering 87% believe their school failed to properly investigate;
  • 43% hide their Jewish identity from their classmates out of fear;
  • 72% feel unwelcome in certain spaces on campus simply for being Jewish;
  • 67% say Jews are completely excluded from their schoolʼs DEI initiatives;
  • 69% are blamed for the actions of Israel—actions they have no control over;
  • 67% feel their university did not take sufficient action to protect Jewish students in the wake of the 10/7 massacre;
  • 43% would not recommend their school to fellow Jewish students.”
