(Worthy News) – The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced Wednesday that it has struck more than 115 terror targets across the Gaza Strip in the past 24 hours, intensifying its offensive under Operation Gideon’s Chariots. The campaign, launched to dismantle Hamas’s military capabilities and leadership, continues with heavy airstrikes, naval fire, and coordinated ground operations.

Among those eliminated in recent strikes was Mohammad Shahin, a Hamas operative from the East Jabaliya Battalion who participated in the October 7 massacre. The IDF also confirmed the death of Moataz Deeb, a senior Hamas commander responsible for the group’s drone and rocket operations.

“Our operations are intensifying in both scope and precision,” said IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir on Tuesday. “This is not a war we initiated. It was forced upon us on October 7, and Hamas will face the consequences for its defiance.”

Elite IDF units including the 401st Armored Brigade, Givati Brigade, and 215th Artillery Brigade have pushed into key areas of northern Gaza, targeting tunnel networks, weapons stockpiles, and militant cells. Naval forces are also supporting operations with precision strikes on Hamas infrastructure.

Beyond the Gaza front, the IDF confirmed a targeted airstrike in southern Lebanon that eliminated Hussein Nazih Barji, a senior Hezbollah engineer. Barji was a core figure in Hezbollah’s weapons development program and served in its Research, Development, and Production Directorate.

“This is a complex, multi-front war,” said Zamir. “But we remain focused on the end goal—a safer, more secure Israel. Hamas and its allies must know: their resistance will come at a high cost.”
