WASHINGTON (Worthy News) – U.S. President Donald Trump firmly rejected antisemitism within the Republican Party and the MAGA movement during a wide-ranging interview with The New York Times, declaring that individuals who espouse antisemitic views are neither welcome nor needed.

“I think we don’t need them. I think we don’t like them,” Trump said when asked whether there was room for antisemitism in the GOP.

Throughout the two-hour interview, Trump repeatedly underscored his condemnation of antisemitism, framing his position around his record as a strong ally of Israel. He pointed to what he described as unprecedented diplomatic achievements in the Middle East and said his support for Israel has been widely acknowledged.

“Look, if you talk about the antisemitic views, there’s been nobody better for us,” Trump said. “As an example, I just got the Israel award, which is the biggest award they give. It was just given to me — first time it was ever given to anybody outside of Israel.”

Trump went on to say he believes his presidency marked the strongest pro-Israel stance in U.S. history, adding that the current peace arrangements in the region are expected to endure.

The president also referenced his own family, noting that his daughter Ivanka Trump, her husband Jared Kushner, and their three children are Jewish.

“My daughter happens to be Jewish, beautiful, three grandchildren are Jewish,” Trump said. “I’m very proud of them. I’m very proud of the whole family. I am the least antisemitic person probably there is anywhere in the world.”

The interview grew more pointed when Trump was pressed to denounce Nick Fuentes, a figure widely associated with antisemitic rhetoric and labeled a leading white supremacist by the Anti-Defamation League. Trump said he was unfamiliar with Fuentes, despite acknowledging a single dinner in 2022 at which Fuentes attended as a guest of rapper Kanye West.

“I had dinner with him, one time, where he came as a guest of Kanye West,” Trump said. “I didn’t know who he was bringing. He said, ‘Do you mind if I bring a friend?’ I said, ‘I don’t care.’ And it was Nick Fuentes? I don’t know Nick Fuentes.”

Fuentes has drawn renewed attention in recent months following a series of antisemitic remarks, including praise for Adolf Hitler and attacks against public figures. Ohio gubernatorial candidate Vivek Ramaswamy publicly rebuked Fuentes at a Turning Point USA event in December, saying such views have “no place in the future of the conservative movement.”

The Times also questioned Trump about Paul Ingrassia, an attorney appointed as deputy general counsel of the General Services Administration, after leaked messages allegedly showed him referring to having a “Nazi streak.” Trump said he was unaware of the remarks and emphasized the size of the federal workforce.

“I don’t know that. It’s possible. I have thousands of people working here,” Trump said, reiterating his rejection of antisemitism.

Beyond rhetoric, the Trump administration has pursued policy actions aimed at confronting antisemitism, particularly on college campuses. These efforts included expanding the scope of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, enabling the federal government to threaten withdrawal of funding from universities that fail to address antisemitic harassment.

The administration also adopted a hardline approach toward campus unrest, initiating measures to revoke visas and deport foreign students involved in extremist or anti-Israel activity.

Trump concluded that Republicans should unequivocally condemn figures who promote hatred, saying such views are incompatible with the values of the party and his movement.
