(Worthy News) –  Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Israeli special forces could be called upon if he were threatened with arrest while traveling abroad under a warrant issued by the International Criminal Court.

During an interview with Fox News host Sean Hannity, Netanyahu was asked whether he worries that a medical or aviation emergency could force his plane to land in a country obligated to enforce the ICC warrant.

“Yeah, I think about it,” Netanyahu replied. “We have special forces around. I served with them for five years.”

When Hannity referred to the possibility of a contingency plan and praised the toughness of Israel’s military, Netanyahu smiled and responded, “Let’s give them a new task.”

Netanyahu also condemned the ICC as part of what he called a corrupt international system, warning that the court’s authority could eventually be used against American presidents and U.S. troops fighting alongside Israel.

The ICC issued its warrant against Netanyahu on November 21, 2024, following allegations connected to Israel’s war against Hamas in Gaza. Israel rejects the court’s jurisdiction and has strongly denied the accusations.
