Justice Department Refocuses Its Attention on ‘Domestic Terrorists’ (Video)
WASHINGTON D.C. (Worthy News)– The Justice Department is reviving a law enforcement group to investigate those it designates as domestic terrorists, calling it an “escalating danger.”
With more than two dozen domestic incidents since the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks, federal prosecutors have pressed the need to coordinate intelligence about such criminals on a national level.
The Justice Department will reconstitute a task force that was originally formed after the Oklahoma City bombing in 1995.
“Homegrown is the biggest problem we face right now. (we’re) trying to figure out how this radicalization is happening here in this country,” New York City Councilman Peter Vallone told CBN News. “Why does somebody that grows up in Queens decide he wants to grow up and kill Queens residents?”
