Defund the police? 81% of Black Americans want the same or more law enforcement in their areas
(Worthy News) – Black Lives Matter wants to defund the police, but most Black Americans like their law-enforcement presence the way it is.
A Gallup poll released Wednesday found that 61% of Black adults surveyed want police to spend the same amount of time in their area, and 20% want them to invest more time. Only 19% said they wanted police to spend less time in their community.
“This is similar to the 67% of all U.S. adults preferring the status quo, including 71% of White Americans,” said the poll’s analysis. [ Source: Washington Times (Read More…) ]
