Palestinian Authority officials announces plans for escalation of violence against Israel that will include the “sacrifice” of Palestinian children

(Worthy News) – A special emissary to Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas announced on Facebook that he and other Palestinian leaders are planning an “escalation of the resistance” against Israel that will include the “sacrifice” of Palestinian children, Israel365news reports.

In an October 7 Facebook post, Fatah Central Committee Secretary Jibril Rajoub wrote that the historically fiercely divided Fatah and Hamas Palestinian groups would unite in the execution of this planned new wave of violence: “We are prepared to sacrifice… We will sacrifice our children.”‎

Detailing meetings with Hamas at the Palestinian Consulate in Istanbul, Rajoub posted: ‎“We are working for true national partnership with the factions and Hamas, ‎and to assemble one political front. We have informed Hamas and the factions that Fatah views the assembling of ‎a national coalition government as a necessity at the current stage.” 

Prepared to set aside past hostilities between Hamas and Fatah, Rajoub added: “We have no ‎problem; we are prepared to be with Hamas, and prepared to be with the factions – ‎if only!”

Rajoub went on to explain that he had also met with “factions” in Damascus who were “positive” about the “agreements with Hamas.” 

A few days prior to Rajoub’s post, PA leader Saeb Erekat had similarly threatened “Bloodshed and the spread of chaos in the region” in a comment for daily news outlet Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Israel 365 News reports. However, Erekat has since become seriously ill with COVID-19 and requested to be taken to Israel’s Hadassah hospital in Jerusalem, where he is currently receiving treatment.
