Mississippi Gov. Reeves tells Biden after ‘neanderthal’ jab we should trust, not ‘insult’ Americans

(Worthy News) -Mississippi Gov. Tate Reeve is responding to President Biden’s “neanderthal thinking” comment after he and Texas Gov. Gregg Abbott announced earlier this week that they are lifting their coronavirus mask orders, saying the president should “trust Americans, not insult them.”

Reeves, like Abbott a Republican governor, on Wednesday tweeted: “Mississippians don’t need handlers. As numbers drop, they can assess their choices and listen to experts. I guess I just think we should trust Americans, not insult them.”

Biden said after the governors’ announcement Tuesday: “The last thing we need is the neanderthal thinking that ‘in the meantime everything’s fine, take off your mask.’ Forget it, it still matters.” [ Source: Just the News (Read More…) ]
