Millions hit by ‘monsoon on steroids’ as Pakistan suffers ‘worst flooding in its history’

The floods have affected more than 33 million people, or one in seven Pakistanis.
More than 1,150 have been killed, including over 300 children, and millions displaced by heavy monsoon rains in the past two and a half months.
“This year, Pakistan has received the highest rainfall in at least three decades. So far this year the rain is running at more than 780% above average levels,” said Abid Qaiyum Suleri, executive director of the Sustainable Development Policy Institute and a member of Pakistan’s Climate Change Council.[ Source: Sky News (Read More…) ]
