DENPASAR, INDONESIA (Worthy News) – Moscow on Monday denied Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov was hospitalized for heart problems after arriving in Bali, Indonesia, despite several Indonesian officials confirming the treatment.

Lavrov is in Indonesia, where he attends the Group of 20 (G20) summit at a time of international concerns about the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova called reports about Lavrov’s heart problems “the highest level of fakes.” She did not address whether he had received medical treatment.

Yet she posted a video of the 72-year-old Lavrov looking healthy in a T-shirt and shorts, in which he was asked to comment on the report. “They’ve been writing about our president for ten years that he’s fallen ill. It’s a game that is not new in politics,” Lavrov says in the video.

However, four Indonesian government and medical officials told reporters Lavrov was treated at the Sanglah Hospital in the provincial capital, Denpasar.

Lavrov is at the G20 instead of Russian President Vladimir Putin, who faces a domestic and Westen backlash over the war with reports that as many as 100,000 Russian troops were killed and injured.
