House Republicans Subpoena Biden’s Son, Brother in Latest Investigation

(Worthy News) – On Wednesday, House Republicans issued subpoenas to Hunter and James Biden, demanding their testimony as lawmakers aim to establish connections between President Biden and his family’s business dealings, the Wall Street Journal reported.

Lawmakers directed attention toward Hunter and James Biden, asserting that the president’s family members capitalized on their association with the Biden name to make millions of dollars.

“The House Oversight Committee has followed the money and built a record of evidence revealing how Joe Biden knew, was involved, and benefited from his family’s influence-peddling schemes. Now, the House Oversight Committee is going to bring in members of the Biden family and their associates to question them on this record of evidence,” said Rep. James Comer (R., Ky.), chairman of the House Oversight Committee, said in a statement.

“Unlike the many lies President Biden told the American people about his family’s business schemes, bank records don’t lie. These records reveal how the Bidens sold Joe Biden around to the world to benefit the Biden family, including Joe Biden himself, to the detriment of U.S. interests.

“The House Oversight Committee, along with the Committees on Judiciary and Ways and Means, will continue to follow the facts and deliver the transparency and accountability that the American people demand and deserve.”

The White House has repeatedly denied any wrongdoing by President Biden and maintains that the President distanced himself from his family’s business dealings.

“Despite spending millions of taxpayer dollars to conduct this probe, they have turned up no evidence to support their outlandish allegations of bribery and ‘high crimes and misdemeanors,’ which they claim are motivating their open-ended ‘impeachment inquiry,’ ” wrote White House spokesman Ian Sams to the Wall Street Journal.

However, Republicans have released financial records that reveal a series of shell companies established by the Biden family during Joe Biden’s tenure as Vice President. According to Republicans, these entities were created to conceal payments to the family from foreign sources.
