(Worthy News) – Alleged overnight airstrikes carried out by the Israeli military near Damascus resulted in the deaths of two Hezbollah fighters and two Syrians, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights. This incident adds to a series of such attacks occurring amid Israel’s ongoing conflict with Hamas terrorists in Gaza.

Two Hezbollah terrorists from Lebanon and two Syrian guards, all associated with a facility operated by the Iran-backed movement, lost their lives. Additionally, three fighters and three civilians sustained injuries, according to the UK-based Observatory. The information was provided to AFP by the Observatory, which relies on a network of sources within Syria.

At approximately 23:05 p.m. on Sunday, the Israel conducted an air strikes from the direction of the Golan, directing its attack towards specific locations in the vicinity of Damascus. This information was reported by the state-run Syrian Arab News Agency, citing a military source.

Israel did not provide any comment on the airstrike, maintaining its customary stance of not responding to reports of attacks beyond its northern borders. Both military and political leaders in the Jewish state have consistently asserted that Israel will not accept Iran’s presence in Syria.
