Oregon: Christian woman sues state after being told she cannot adopt children unless she “supports” their future hypothetical transgenderism

A Christian woman has filed suit against the state of Oregon for denying her application to adopt siblings from foster care because she would not agree to “respect, accept, and support … the sexual orientation, gender identity, [and] gender expression” of any child placed with her. The suit was filed earlier this month on behalf of Jessica Bates, a widowed mother of five, by the conservative legal firm Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF).
