Obama: At Least 50-50 Chance House Acts on Immigration Next Month

(Breitbart / Worthy News)– As thousands of illegal immigrant children are overwhelming border states, President Barack Obama reportedly told pro-amnesty nurses on Monday that there is a 50-50 chance the House acts on amnesty legislation next month.

As Breitbart News has reported, House Republicans like Reps. Paul Ryan (R-WI), Mick Mulvaney (R-SC), and Mario Diaz Balart (R-FL) have been gauging support for an immigration bill. House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) has reportedly said he was hell-bent on passing amnesty legislation this year, and Valerie Jarrett, who is Obama’s adviser and confidant, said that the White House had a “commitment from” Boehner to act on amnesty legislation by August before she walked those comments back. Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) has said there could be legislation by “June or July,” while other House Republicans leaders like Conference Chair Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-WA) have been aiming for an August date.
