CAIRO, EGYPT (Worthy News)– Twelve Islamists were sentenced to death by an Egyptian judge on Wednesday for the murder of Gen. Nabil Farrag, a senior police official.
The ruling was aired live on Egyptian television. As Judge Moataz Khafagi delivered the sentence, the defendants broke out in chants of “God is great.”
In September, Gen. Farrag along with 14 other policemen were killed and mutilated when they prepared to raid an Islamic stronghold outside of Cairo.
