TEHRAN, IRAN (Worthy News)– Pastor Behnam Irani, who was assaulted by his own guards and transferred to a then unknown location on June 7, has been returned to Ghezal Hesar Prison, according to Christian Solidarity Worldwide.

Irani was attacked after objecting to a summons from Judge Mohammad Yari; he was subsequently brought before Yari and charged with communicating with the media. Irani was then transferred to a detention center where he was kept in solitary confinement and interrogated at length numerous times.

Irani was initially arrested in December 2006 and sentenced five years later to six years imprisonment for alleged activity against the Iranian state and its Islamic order.
