TEHRAN, IRAN (Worthy News) -- Iran says tens of thousands of students are preparing themselves for suicide attacks against Israel, in revenge for the Israeli offensive against militants of the Hamas group in the Gaza Strip. In comments monitored by Worthy News Tuesday, January 6, the state-run Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) said over 70,000 Iranian students have volunteered to be suicide bombers against Israel. IRNA added the students are waiting on President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's response to their request in an open letter for permission to fight Israel in support of Hamas. "Volunteer student suicide groups ... are determined to go to Gaza. You are expected to issue orders to the relevant authorities to pave the way for such action," the published letter said. There was no immediate response from the hard-line Iranian leader, however Ahmadinejad said earlier that Israel should be "wiped out from the map" and cast doubt on the Holocaust in which an estimated six million Jews died. Director of the Public Relations Department at Students’ Basij Organization Esmaeel Ahmadi said the students would form special battalions and his group published a document showing thousands are ready to die. IRNA said five hard-line student groups and clerics launched a registration drive for suicide bombers last week, but it was unclear how many had registered. STUDENT PROTESTS The latest reported preparations for suicide attacks came shortly after IRNA reported that several Iranian students broke into the British Embassy residence in Tehran, accusing Britain of supporting Israel. There were no reports if injuries and the protest soon ended. Earlier Iran's top Islamic leaders gave a religious decree on December 28 saying anyone killed while defending Palestinians in the Gaza Strip against "Israeli attacks" would be considered "a martyr" from Iran's supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. His voice overrides all others in the hierarchy. Israel says Iran is actively supporting Hamas, but Tehran denied it is sending weapons to Hamas and the other Islamic militant group, Hezbollah, based in Lebanon. ISRAELI ACTIONS The Israeli government has defended its operations in the Gaza Strip saying, “Eight years and 6,000 rockets is enough, the time for restraint ended 10 days ago.” Not all Iranian students support Hamas. In a December 30, 2008 communique translated by Middle East Media Research Institute, the Iranian Student Group 'Daftar-e Tahkim-e Vahdat' condemned Hamas as a "terrorist organization". "Those who have armed and encouraged groups like Hamas - which did not hide its sympathy for the criminal [Iraqi leader] Saddam Hussein, and which declared three days of mourning after his death - have innocent blood on their hands: [the blood of those killed] in the [recent] hostilities [in Gaza]," the group said in translated remarks. "Now it is they who must be accountable to humanity, and it is they who must explain this tragic situation." While it condemned "Israel's current crimes in Gaza" it was "equally [important] to condemn the terror organizations that use kindergartens and hospitals as a shield against the [Israeli] attacks. [Hamas's use of human shields] prepares the ground for intensified bombardment [by Israel] and for the killing of children and civilians...," the group added. Copyright 2009 Worthy News. The issue is not how many people died in Hamas missile attacks, the point is that Hamas would kill as many Israelis as it could. How long should any country wait to respond to terrorist attacks? How long would the U.S. wait? (you saw in the 9/11 attacks). How long would Russia wait? (you saw in the Georgia attack) It is impossible to defend in like manner to any enemy who is trying to attack you, you try to subdue the attacker so as to stop the attacks. If Hamas only kills six Israelis and only launches 4,000 missles, is Israel suppose to launch 4,000 missles back to Hamas and only take six lives in like manner? Does any sane mind believe that’s how it is supposed to work? Apparently so, by the way certain groups are massing against Israel for defending itself. How typical. Well as far as me? I’ll continue to pray for Israel as I’m sure the majority of Christians are doing right now!
“A cartoon was published in our paper today 1/6/09 by Rodger Harvell, The Star of David with a line cross out over the flag with the ketters “UN” under the flagm indicating the UN rejection of Israels actions. I responded to the editor with this comment:”
The cartoon by Roger Harwell even though I understand he is conservative and
supports Israel is a sad and dangerous reflection supporting those who fail
to understand Israel is God’s chosen people. Our wonderful country has
recognized this truth and stood by Israel for these many years. God has
honored our support and has blessed our nation with great success and
protection from attack and strife on our own soil. This image I am sure was
applauded by those who hate Israel. Israel is 100% in the right to protect
their land from continued unmerited assault. Israel will survive with or
without the US; however, if the US pulls away from Israel then we can expect
GOD to give us over to destruction. We are on a slippery hill with
morality, greed and overall decay of Godley principals prevalent in our
land. Turing our allegiance from Israel to the those who hate God’s people
will be the beginning of the final end of our nation. God choose Israel as
his chosen people. This truth is verified in scripture and history. The
Jewish peoples have survived since leaving Egypt and will continue their
ability to fend off undeserved enemies. The scriptures state, “The fool
has said in his heart there is no God.” Psalm 53:1 The articles that appear
in the paper now and then against our nations traditional values and
principals support this passage and numerous others in scripture. Our
nations founders never dreamed the separation of church and state would be
reversed by “Fools”. While our nation is not Christian by edict it was
their intent to keep the government out of the Church and God in the
government. Read correct history, look at our buildings, look at our money,
look at our peaceful land, look at the state charters (original documents),
our spilling of blood to protect our God given freedom wherever it was
threatened and look at our prosperity. The blood of our men and women in the
battlefields of the world scream out “What did we die for?” God is not
mocked, he will bless us if we turn from our wicked ways, but he us also a
righteous judge and we are at the bench of judgment Psalm 9:17. God offers
a remedy; a free gift that many have received and all peoples of our nation
should consider”. Romans 6:23.
No worries, the Iranian’s political leaders are notorious liars with nearly 75% of their own population wishing they were not in power. If there were really these kinds of numbers willing to sacrifice themselves the entire West would have been destabilized. In truth most lost people are afraid to die, Iranians are no different.
the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is the perfect example of people defending their rights and fighting back when wronged. Their is no end to the fighting, because every time you kill one enemy, you make several more. Jesus proposed a new way. Forgive your enemies, make them your friends, then you won’t have enemies. If only the “Christian nations” of the west would be an example of this to the middle east, this world could be a different place; but we Americans are too concerned about our rights, and unconcerned about the glory of Jesus Christ.
