As I was reading through the news today, I came across an amazing story reported by the Washington Times — a man recovered from a 19-year coma! Jan Grzewski fell into a coma in 1988 after he was injured attaching two train carriages. While treating him, doctors also found cancer in his brain and were sure he would not live.

When they exhausted every means to treat this man, they released him to the care of his loving wife, Gertruda, who continued for 19 years to care for him in their home. For years, those who knew of the situation, insisted that Mr. Grzewski should be euthanized. Through all the opposition she faced, Mrs. Grzewski continued to care for him faithfully, believing he would come to.

Today, at age 65, Mr. Grzewski is alive and well — and his recovery is progressing so much so that he’ll soon be able to walk!

I was reminded of an equally amazing story that was published last July. The headline read, “Coma Man’s Rewired Brain Astonishes Doctors”. Terry Wallis awakened from a 20-year coma when his brain “rewired” itself! - [Source] Doctors were amazed that his brain grew tiny new nerve connections to heal those connections that were formerly broken in a car accident he suffered nearly 20 years ago.

These two stories are just from this past year — and there are probably many more where those came from!

So sad. Today’s world fails to see the self-healing and resurrecting power in God’s creation! Too many people believe that we are not made in the “image of God”– that we are simply an evolutionary form of animal. What has happened to us? Euthanasia, abortion, what else? Our society is rationalizing the  importance of human life. We should be a society that protects human life! Don’t you agree?

As we recently marked the day that legalized abortion was upheld by the Supreme Court, it reminded me of a strategy that the Lord gave me a couple of years ago about how to overturn this decision. Here it is.

All abortion clinics should be required by law to first ask each woman scheduled for an abortion, whether she would like to have an ultrasound. With all the new technology today, ultrasounds have gotten so life-like — the new generation of three and even four-dimensional ultrasound imagery show unbelievably life-like views of fetuses in the womb. (Source) And pictures speak louder than words!

This is an excerpt from Crisis Magazine concerning ultrasounds and their ability to change the minds of women considering abortion.

Eric Keroack, the medical director of A Woman’s Concern, a crisis pregnancy center in Boston, has just completed an unpublished article on the topic. His study compares two 18-month periods in the center’s recent history—before it used an ultrasound machine (July 1998 through 1999) and after it began using one (October 2000 through April 2002). Throughout, the type of clients was the same: women who told staff they were considering abortion. Of the 366 women tracked in the non-ultrasound phase, 58 percent aborted. But of the 434 women tracked in the ultrasound period, only 24 percent aborted. The abortion rate fell by 59 percent. And women were almost twice as likely to give birth to their babies. During the non-ultrasound phase, 33 percent of the women went on to give birth. That number jumped to 63 percent when the center had an ultrasound machine. - Source

For years we have listened to the debate that women must have a CHOICE. We need a strong woman leader to stand up (someone like Elizabeth Dole, maybe) and fight for the right to choose — the right to choose to have an ULTRASOUND!

Let’s turn the tables on the words “pro-choice!” It only takes one proposed bill and it can happen!
