(Worthy News) – With the ceasefire at risk due to Hamas’ refusal to release hostages, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have raised readiness levels in the Southern Command and postponed leave for combat soldiers and operational units, the Israeli military announced Monday night.

In anticipation of a significant military operation in Gaza, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have started to cancel all leave and are recalling thousands of soldiers back to their units.

“The reinforcement of forces will strengthen the defense in the area and enhance the readiness for various scenarios in the region,” the IDF stated.

This move is part of a broader strategy to ensure that the forces are fully prepared and mobilized for a potent maneuver, reflecting the escalating tensions and the potential for renewed conflict in the region.

President Donald Trump on Monday demanded the full release of all hostages held by Hamas in Gaza by noon Saturday, rejecting any partial releases. He warned that if the deadline was not met, he would cancel the ceasefire deal, stating, “All bets are off and let hell break out,” signaling a readiness for severe escalation.
