JERUSALEM (Worthy News) – Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard made an unannounced visit to the U.S.-operated Civil-Military Coordination Center (CMCC) near the Gaza border, as American and coalition partners prepare to launch phase two of the U.S.-brokered ceasefire and stabilization plan for Gaza.

Gabbard praised the CMCC as “a living example of what can happen when nations unite for common interests,” telling Fox News the joint effort demonstrates “the potential impact of lasting peace that benefits generations to come.”

The CMCC is the centerpiece of the Trump administration’s broader Middle East peace framework—tasked with coordinating humanitarian aid, security assistance, and intelligence operations to support Gaza’s reconstruction and regional stability.

“For the first time in a generation, there’s a genuine sense of hope and optimism, not just in Israel, but across the Middle East,” Gabbard told Fox News. “That’s because of President Trump’s leadership and the groundwork he laid through his historic peace deal.”

According to Gabbard, 16 nations and 20 international NGOs are now working together at the CMCC, forming a unique multinational civilian-military network designed to facilitate the transition from conflict to cooperation in Gaza.

“The American people should know that the U.S. presence at the CMCC is about leadership, coordination, and service,” she said. Approximately 200 U.S. service members are currently stationed at the center, though none will enter Gaza itself. Instead, coalition forces from Arab nations are expected to deploy stabilization teams inside the enclave as part of the next operational phase.

During her visit, Gabbard also toured the Kerem Shalom Crossing—one of Gaza’s main humanitarian gateways—where she met with Israeli and international officials managing aid logistics and border coordination.

“In conversations I had with leaders from across the region, including in Manama, people spoke openly and hopefully about a future defined not by conflict, but by cooperation and stability,” Gabbard shared. “Progress is possible with strong leadership and a shared vision for peace.”

Her visit follows recent trips to Israel by Vice President JD Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and Special Envoy Steve Witkoff—each reinforcing the administration’s multi-stage peace implementation plan for Gaza and the broader Middle East.
