(Worthy News) – Saudi Arabia warned Thursday that it may take military action following an Iranian drone strike on a key oil installation, escalating tensions across the Middle East and raising concerns over regional stability and global energy supplies.

Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan, speaking after a high-level meeting in Riyadh with counterparts from 12 Arab and Muslim nations, declared that the kingdom “reserves the right” to respond. He accused Iran of using aggression rather than diplomacy, stating that Tehran “doesn’t believe in talking to its neighbors” and instead seeks to pressure them.

“The kingdom is not going to succumb to pressure,” Faisal said. “On the contrary, this pressure will backfire.”

In a unified stance, participating nations issued a joint statement strongly condemning Iran’s missile and drone attacks targeting civilian infrastructure, including residential areas, oil facilities, airports, desalination plants, and diplomatic sites. The coalition called the strikes “totally unjustifiable under any circumstances” and demanded that Iran immediately cease its attacks.

The latest escalation includes an Iranian drone strike on a Saudi refinery along the Red Sea—an installation strategically vital for bypassing the Strait of Hormuz, a critical global oil chokepoint that Iran has threatened to disrupt.

Iran also reportedly struck the Qatari section of the South Pars gas field in the Persian Gulf—the world’s largest known natural gas reserve. The attacks were described as retaliation for a recent Israeli strike on Iran’s portion of the same field.

The situation drew a sharp response from U.S. President Donald Trump, who warned of overwhelming retaliation. “The United States will massively blow up the entirety of the South Pars Gas Field at a level of strength and power that Iran has never seen,” Trump said.
