ISLAMABAD, PAKISTAN (Worthy News)– As the Prime Minister of Pakistan was addressing the UN General Assembly Friday, more than one hundred Pakistani Christians at the UN Plaza were protesting the bombing of All Saints Anglican Church by Islamic extremists, according to the Pakistan Christian Post.

In response to the violent attack against 400 defenseless parishioners after worship within the walled City of Peshawar, Pakistan on Sunday, Sept. 22, the International Community Care Foundation-USA released the following statement:

“The brutal attack on innocent people at All Saints Church in the city of Peshawar, Pakistan must be addressed by the United Nations, the United States of America and the free world. The exact number of dead and wounded has not yet been established, but according to the official figures 85 people are killed and more than 120 injured.

“The world at large should be outraged by this genocide against the Christians in Peshawar, Pakistan. The Board of ICCF-USA, the church and community leaders cry out to the world to join us in urging the Pakistan Government to act swiftly and adequately to ensure the safety of all in Pakistan, including the Christian community and to take steps to stop these attacks on Christians and other citizens of Pakistan. It is heinous and cowardly to attack and kill innocent people … The mainstream media in North America should broadcast boldly about these horrifying and brutal atrocities.”
