MEXICO CITY, MEXICO (Worthy News)– Over the past few days, the message was loud and clear as newspapers, TV and Radio programs in Central America repeated the same message — “The U.S. will not give asylum to migrant children.”

The message she carried was clear:  “The U.S. will not give asylum to migrant children,” blared Thursday’s front page of La Prensa Grafica, one of the largest papers in El Salvador.

The Obama Administration’s rhetoric and actions surrounding the immigration surge have led many in Central America to think they will not be deported if they come into the U.S. illegally–and indeed, most of the thousands of children that continue to cross the border will likely get to stay in the country.
