Operation Brother’s Keeper Winding Down Before Ramadan
JERUSALEM, ISRAEL (Worthy News)– Israel Defense Forces (IDF) continued Operation Brother’s Keeper in search for the three abducted teenagers Wednesday night with the arrest of ten suspected Palestinians.
Over 130 sites were searched in the West Bank last night.
On Tuesday, 17 Palestinians were arrested, significantly down from previous days indicating to some analysts the Operation may be winding down.
Since the beginning of the operation against Hamas dozens of activists are in custody, and many of its institutions in the West Bank have closed.
With the Muslim holy month of Ramadan set to start on Saturday, Israel’s Security Cabinet voted to reduce IDF’s presence in the West Bank and limit the scope of Operation Brother’s Keeper fearing events could “escalate out of control.”
