Chanting “Intifada, Intifada,” thousands of furious Palestinians called for a new uprising against Israel during the funeral on Friday of a teen they believe was kidnapped and killed by far-right Jews.

The Israel Air Force has struck targets in the southern Gaza Strip on Friday evening in retaliation for the Palestinian rocket barrage that pounded the south, Channel 10 reported. There is no word of casualties.

Violent protests by Palestinians broke out in Jerusalem Friday as a Palestinian youth some believe was killed by far-right Israelis was laid to rest. Reports from the field indicated that 35 people were lightly injured after heavy clashes with police who initiated riot control measures to disperse the violent crowd.

US issues travel warning for East Jerusalem
The US Consulate in Jerusalem on Friday issued a travel warning for the Old City and neighborhoods in the eastern part of the city, warning that the clashes that shook the capital on Friday were likely to continue on Saturday.

Following a day of violent demonstrations in riot-racked Jerusalem on the heels of the funeral of an Arab teenager allegedly murdered by Jews, clashes between local Arabs and security forces flared up again on Friday night in the capital and in other parts of Israel with large Arab populations.
