Syrian Christians killed, wounded in Aleppo

(Worthy News)– Armenians in Aleppo — the largest city in Syria — have been under siege since Holy Week from rocket attacks that have killed 30 and injured almost 60.
But according to Barnabas Aid, Aleppo’s Armenian Christians are also being threatened from Turkey, which has vowed to show them how to “celebrate” the centenary of the Armenian/Assyrian Genocide.
Although Armenians memorialize the event every April, the entire genocide lasted three decades, during which up to 3.75 million Armenians, Assyrians and other Christians were brutally executed by Ottoman Turks. Many of the believers in Aleppo today are descended from Armenians who had fled from the Turk’s genocide of Christians 100 years ago.
However, the 400,000 Christians that lived in Aleppo have already been reduced to about 85,000 from the fear of a new genocide by the Turks on the anniversary of the original.
