(Worthy News) - Freedom of religion isn't reason enough to deny any American their constitutional rights, President Barack Obama said Sunday as he addressed members of the LGBT community, one of his major sources of political and financial support.

Speaking at a Democratic Party fundraiser, Obama said it's important to recognize that some parts of the country remain uncomfortable with same-sex marriage and that it will take time for them to catch up to the majority of Americans who support such unions.

But while Americans hold dear the constitutional right to practice their religion free from government interference, he said that right can't be used to deny constitutional rights to others. [ Source ]

  1. Amazing ... how the argument has completely flipped! As the Bible declares ... "Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter!" [Isaiah 5:20]

  2. I was thinking about it this morning George...you have a sign that portends judgment...the blood moon...and folks are excited about it....and you have a sign that portends Gods favor...the rainbow and folks twist it to something wicked. We're upside down. This is the world of Revelation.

  3. Our current president is a classic, so-called progressive. I.e., he's a secularized statist, not respecting individual liberty, but rather 'social justice' (as opposed to equal justice), collective salvation (as opposed to individual salvation), and the overall belief that man can create Heaven on Earth through a big, we-know-better-than-you government, which Christians know is only the purview of God. Telling us that we need to align our thoughts with the majority or with the State is fascist. It is unconstitutional to the core. Progressives are fascists -- a word I try not to use flippantly. The founders must be turning over in their graves.

As Christians, we have a responsibility to pray for our nation. Pray against the demonic forces what want to wipe out our constitutionally-protected liberty. Pray for the repentance of wayward public servants, and for their removal from power should they refuse.

The 'progressive' mindset is inherently unAmerican, anti-constitutional, unGodly. As I mentioned above, it places man in the stead of God to bring Heaven to Earth. 'You can be like God...' We must act spiritually AND politically against it. The founders of this country did.
