IS crucifies man collaborating with “Crusaders”

(Worthy News) – A Syrian has been crucified by the Islamic State for collaborating with what it called a “Crusader coalition.”

According to Jihad Watch, the Syrian was executed by gunshot and then tied to a “cross” with a sign stating his crime and subsequent sentence.

Jihadist Abu Bakr Almaqdesi told Breitbart Jerusalem that he had witnessed the crucifixion of traitors and others while fighting for IS in Iraq and Syria.

“Crucifixion is mentioned in the Quran as a punishment to those who wish to corrupt the land and its inhabitants,” he said. “It’s not a cruel punishment. It’s entirely in keeping with Islam … crucifixion has nothing to do with the fact that the Crusaders are Christian, for the simple reason that we Muslims don’t think Jesus — peace be upon him — was crucified. The Quran says that his followers thought he was crucified when they saw a crucified man who looked like him….”

According to Surah 4:1: “And their saying: Surely we have killed the Messiah, Isa son of Marium, the apostle of Allah; and they did not kill him nor did they crucify him, but it appeared to them so (like Isa)….”

According to Answering Islam, some Muslims claim that when Jesus was about to be arrested, he was substituted by someone who looked exactly like him and who was later crucified in his place.

“Whether it was Judas Iscariot, Simon of Cyrene, one of his disciples or one of the Roman soldiers — all these have been suggested in different Muslim writings as possible victims of the transformation — no one knows.”
