(Worthy News) - The Republican civil war escalated Tuesday as Donald Trump trained his fire on down-ballot candidates of his own party.

The Republican nominee in a Twitter tirade pronounced himself free of the of responsibility for the GOP, tacitly encouraging his legions of loyal supporters to vote for him on Election Day but spurn the rest of the ticket.

Trump has periodically taken aim at individual Republicans since securing the nomination in May. This is the first time the celebrity businessman has targeted the party that is spending millions of dollars to elect him. [ Source ]

Trump has since apologized for the remarks but that hasn't halted the avalanche of criticism. One of the biggest rifts comes from inside Trump's own "evangelical council."

  1. It's called someone bucking the system not civil war. There are too many good ol boys just getting their feelings hurt. Better Republicans are at least riding the horse to victory. This is just a reflection of people sick of career politicians.
Now that being said I cannot defend his past other then we all have sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God Almighty. He could be using Trump as an instrument to help the US or we will be reaping what we have sewn as a nation.
