Rabbinical court rules against Jewish marriage rites for Messianic Jews

(Worthy News) - Two messianic Jews, who are Jewish by birth and who believe Jesus is God and the Messiah, and who sought to get married through the Chief Rabbinate in a Jewish ceremony, have been told by a special panel of the Tel Aviv Rabbinical Court that their beliefs put them outside of the Jewish faith and therefore they cannot get married in a religious ceremony.

The couple originally applied to marry at the Shoham Rabbinate, demonstrated that they were both Jewish from birth and requested to be registered for marriage, despite believing in Jesus as the Messiah, an idea antithetical to Jewish law and core principles of faith.

Their case was referred to the Tel Aviv Rabbinical Court to make a determination on the question in Jewish law of whether the couple’s beliefs prevent them from marrying as Jews, despite their Jewish status and heritage. [ Source (Read More...) ]

  1. So these geniuses are saying that if you are Jewish by birth and you suddenly realize that Yashua is who He said He is then instantaneously, simultaneously the Jewish blood coursing through your veins is switched to non-Jewish blood? That would take a mighty miracle indeed! The Jewish marriage rituals are not antithetical to Christianity any more than they are to any Jew. In fact the Jewish marriage rituals are a perfect picture of the Messiah coming for us, His bride.

  2. Messianic Jews today are a type of remnant of Israel spoken of by Isaiah in the Time of Jacob's Trouble. These are they who will be refined in the "furnace of affliction" which is to come upon the daughter of Babylon, modern day Israel. The Book of Revelation describes them in chapter 12 as those who will be born and keep the commandments of God and have the testimony and faith of Yeshua. When the blinders come off Israel they will understand Psalm 22 and Isaiah 53. Israel should expect a visitation of the God of their fathers when the 70 years will have been accomplished after May 14, 2018.
