(Worthy News) - Hundreds of mourners crowded into the tiny town of Sutherland Springs for the first Sunday service since a gunman stormed the First Baptist Church a week earlier, killing more than two dozen people in the worst mass shooting in Texas history.

In a service that was emotional and painful but also uplifting, Pastor Frank Pomeroy shared his personal heartache and a message that the community bound together by faith can move past the evil that attacked the church seven days earlier.

"Rather than choose darkness as that young man did that day, we choose life," said Pomeroy, whose 14-year-old daughter, Annabelle, was among those killed in the Nov. 5 rampage. His voice cracked as he spoke about losing his child. [ Source: Fox News (Read More...) ]

  1. Yes, it is terrible. Yes, it is persecution of Christians.

But...why is God letting these things happen?

All around the world, christian persecutions are increasing.

    Why?

Our world now believes it is so advanced, so not primitive anymore that no one
bothers to ask the usual question, the question of why our God would allow such things to happen?

Is it because owning guns, personally, in the USA is at fault? We debate that issue and not the real one, the biblical one. Which is, why God? Why in that place? Why at Columbine? Why are You letting it happen? Why 9/11? Why on our soil? Why anywhere?

He will answer. He will. Just as He always enlightened the people of Israel all along the way from when He first called them to be His people, until now.

    Ask Him. Ask Him why.

    Then, take action to change.
