(Worthy News) - A rare, well-preserved piece of clay dating to the First Temple period with the Hebrew inscription “governor of the city” was recently discovered during excavations by the Israel Antiquities Authority in the Western Wall Plaza in Jerusalem.

“The Bible mentions two governors of Jerusalem, and this finding thus reveals that such a position was actually held by someone in the city some 2,700 years ago,” said Dr. Shlomit Weksler-Bdolah, excavator of the site on behalf of the IAA.

The relic, dating from the 6th to 7th centuries BCE, was unearthed during a joint dig with the Western Wall Heritage Foundation in the northwestern section of the Western Wall Plaza. [ Source: Jerusalem Post (Read More...) ]

  1. Don't you just love it when God does this?

Jesus said, “...I tell you, if these were silent, the very stones would cry out." Luke 19:40 ESV

Much like how in the USA it's government, being Schizophrenic, declares on the one hand that "there is no God" (secular) and on the other hand, it's politicians declare it is a Christian country.

So, our Lord speaks to the US Himself, with signs in the heavens (eclipses, blood moons, etc) because his servants are no longer listened to there.

Now, in Israel, so much denying that it is the Jewish homeland, that it ever was, that King David existed, Solomon too. Iran and fascists the world over deny the Holocaust....so our Great and Gracious Lord, He makes even

"the very stones to cry out." And thus, ties in Jesus who foretold it to us all.

    Interesting days, if nothing else.
