Damascus Bombs Kill 9 in Christian Village

(Worthy News) - Families in Syria are grieving after a barrage of mortars struck a predominately Christian district near Damascus Monday, killing nine and wounding 21 others.

Just after 2 p.m., rebels fired several shells into the Bab Touma district, destroying several churches and buildings.

The mortars instantly struck and killed three-year-old Elias Khoury. His parents were left severely wounded and both were rushed to intensive care. [ Source: CBN News (Read More...) ]

  1. Why is God letting church buildings be destroyed and/or attacked all over the world? Why is this question not being debated in Christian circles all over the world? Because it's so much easier to blame Satan than it is to wonder if perhaps we humans are doing something God wants stopped?

    Should we really be dying for the right to meet in a special building called a Church?

    Or for faith (trust) in the Messiah already come, and soon to return? If we reduced our groups to small ones, met family to family or within families and a few trusted others, might that not be God's goal here for us? In the USA there are so many Christian concerts, so many Convention Center's, it's not like large group meets can't happen still.

    Humans are not trusting the vast, infinite, creativity of the Creator to make a Way, just as He promises He will and has already done.
