(Worthy News) - A joint commission of Turkey’s major Christian denominations has published a historic book of concise Christian doctrine, receiving the unprecedented endorsement of all the nation’s Orthodox, Catholic, Armenian, Syriac, and Protestant churches.

According to Armenian Bishop Sahak Masalyan, keynote speaker at the formal book launch in Istanbul of the English edition in February, the “most spectacular aspect” of the book is in fact its first page of endorsements, which he declared “akin to a miracle.”

This book “expresses the shared beliefs of the churches in Turkey. We approve its publication and recommend that it be widely read,” the statement says. [ Source (Read More...) ]

  1. Differences of opinion have plagued the Christian community for many many years, creating hostility, a breeding ground for misunderstanding and lack of love between brothers and sisters, and creating denominational walls that divide and fuel continued bigotry and separatism. One thing unites us all; the profession of faith in the blood of the Lamb that gives us new life in Christ. God is able to take care of His body. The Holy Spirit teaches truth to the followers of Jesus. Every WORD God has spoken is true and it imparts wisdom to those who meditate upon it. We need the LORD and one another more and more in these dark days as evil continues to rise up. Filled with hope, truth and the knowledge of God's love and power enables us to persevere. May God be pleased to bless the true Church in Turkey as they strive to live in peace with one another. It was prophesied that in the latter dYs, there would be wolves mixed in with the sheep. Let us live before God in a worthy manner, accountable only to Him for how we live our own lives to the glory and praise of our Most Holy God and King.
