Why Jesus Is No Longer the Only Way for Many American Christians

(Worthy News) - Just over two months ago, as winter landed its final blows of snow in New York City, Michael A. Walrond Jr. of Harlem's 10,000-member First Corinthian Baptist Church landed an ideological blow of his own in traditional Christendom.

Walrond, who was named "One of the Lord's Foot Soldiers" by Newsweek magazine, told his congregants that the belief that anyone who doesn't believe in Jesus is going to hell is "insanity."

"There was a time when you would see people in the pulpit say, 'well, if you don't believe in Jesus you going to Hell. That's insanity in many ways because that is not what Jesus even believes," he said in a viral clip posted to Facebook. [ Source: Christian Post (Read More...) ]

John 14:6  Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

2 Thessalonians 2:3-5  Let no one deceive you in any way. For it will not be, unless the apostasy comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of destruction,  he who opposes and exalts himself against all that is called God or that is worshiped; so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself as God.  Don’t you remember that, when I was still with you, I told you these things?

2 Thessalonians 2:9-12  Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:  That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

  1. Acts 4:12 Jesus Christ is the only means of salvation apart from any human works or efforts on our part. Faith "believe" is all we bring to the table and leave with His gift of eternal life, that my dear friend is known as Grace.

  2. You forgot Rev. 17:5-7.

"On her forehead a mysterious name was written: Babylon the Great, the mother of prostitutes and of the abominations of the earth. 6. I could see that the woman was drunk with the blood of the saints and of the witnesses for Jesus. And I was greatly astonished at the sight of her. 7. “Why are you astonished?” said the angel. “I will tell you the mystery of the woman and of the beast that carries her, which has the seven heads and ten horns...'

False, additional gospels, have been creeping into Christianity in the US for a long time now. Think Psychology. Like it is God's will, God's way, that we should be telling evil about our husbands, and wives, children and others to the hired help (only)? That's not the biblical way. The US D/V, divorce, and other abominal rates are the direct results.

Think of some of the other false "ways" to God (supposedly). There's the Obedience to Leadership doctrines. Or think "wives be submissive to your husbands" as the "way" to bring husbands to Christ. That's the gospel of Islam, not Christianity. The other "ways" abound also. And they have been for a very long time now. Too long. Even Christian post-abortion counselors have one. According to them, aborted babies all end up on heaven with "the Father." I can hear the outcry now. So, that means I believe they all go to hell instead? When did I say that? What kind of sick logic comes up with that as the other other alternative? \

However, even John McArthur wrote a whole book out of one verse from the OT because King David was sure he'd see his infant son (who didn't have time to accept a revelation of a Messiah still to come) in Sheol. No doubt he would. Sheol isn't hell, it was/is the waiting place of those who died before we who are now still alive, and those whose lives have yet to begin.

To say that I (or anyone) does not know where aborted babies end up is to say "I don't know" which is a valid answer. We can not make stuff up. God, alone, knows what a child aborted would have chosen if s/he had been allowed to live. We must trust in a loving God, the God and Father of Yeshua HaMashiach aka Jesus, the Christ. The God of Abraham, Issac and Jacob, the God of Moses, and Mary, and Yosef and all the rest of the saints now asleep in Messiah.

Here's one. How about the false gospel that without a church you can not walk rightly with Jesus, the Christ? And it's other brother false doctrine that them who do not go to church regularly are backslidden, at best. The truth is, it is them who stay in places called "church" who either are backslidden or specifically have been called to witness to the churched to get out and save themselves and their families/friends before Rome takes all "the Church" back like it did originally. If it were true that all of Christianity is "the Church" almost all Messianic Jews and Messianic Gentiles and a great many of the Hebraic Christians would not even have their souls yet saved, but they are.

It is that womanin Rev. 17, an Eve unrependant so also unforgiven, finding her way better than Salvation by putting her trust in Messiah, the one who came, his Name in English is Jesus: His Name in Hebrew and Aramaic (which is what his parents spoke) is Y'shua. The spellings and variations on pronunciation on that abound. If it means Salvation just as the Bible says, that's him.

The Church in the USA is in apostasy. All it takes for someone born-again aka born-from-above to no longer trust Y'shua with all that is within them,to become an apostate is in that person to begin to no longer trust Jesus (Y'shua) anymore. We enter Apostasy by lack of trust, we are saved by trusting (the essence of faith) God's Way. God promised a Savior, a Messiah, a Deliverer - even His own humanly begotten Son. Then, God provided exactly that to do as Adam failed to do, not sin.

    There is no other Way.

Why did Peter continue, after he denied Christ, to be an apostle? First, no matter that Jesus was crucified and all Peter had hoped and believed died with Christ, Peter trusted in the God of his father's for mercy. And so it was shown to him. Jesus asked him three (significant) times after the Resurrection, if Peter still loved him.

But Judas "went to perdition" instead? Sin is sin. It matters not the degrees of betrayl. Both Peter and Judas betrayed Messiah. So, why was Peter shown such mercy and Judas went to hell?

Trust. Judas did not, after witnessing so many miracles and healings by Jesus, trust even the God of his father's (the God of Israel) to forgive him. He hanged himself. He didn't trust God or anyone else anymore.

    That's the difference. Trust.

God does not require the faith of Avraham of you. Or me. God only requires all the faith (trusting) you have within you. Or me.

We all have some (limited) ability to trust. Do you trust that chair you sit in to hold you up? That's faith. Every human has some ability, even damaged, we hold within us, each one, still, some small ability to trust. Give it to "The God Who Really Does Exist" and He will respond.

Try it and see if I am right, or not. What have you got to lose?
