(Worthy News) - Pakistani Christian Asia Bibi, who served approximately nine years on death row for blasphemy before being acquitted in October, remains hidden away in Pakistan as her daughter pleads for the government to release her.

The beleaguered Christian, whose acquittal was upheld in February, is still unable to leave the country amid protests and calls for her death from Islamic radicals. She is reportedly experiencing low blood pressure and is thought to be being denied medical care.

In a Sunday interview with the Daily Mail, Bibi's 18-year-old daughter, Eisham Ashiq, said she misses her mother terribly. Bibi is being held in an undisclosed location. [ Source: Christian Post (Read More...) ]

  1. I thought Asia Bibi was a Catholic. Though after such hard times, perhaps she too has come to know Jesus Christ, personally. Wouldn't that be great? She might then be able to convert her daughter who our hearts do have compassion for.

However, it's Roman Catholic Popes who keep Bibi to the forefront. Not that that's wrong, if she's Catholic, she's their business, not really ours.

It's wrong to persecute Catholics just as it's wrong to give false testimony against anyone, or to persecute anyone in a cult, just because it's not Islam, but being persecuted for necromancy isn't the same thing as being persecuted for belonging to, and worshiping, the real Christ, the one and only eternal High Priest for sinners slain.
