(Worthy News) - The financial condition of the government's bedrock retirement programs for middle- and working-class Americans remains shaky, with Medicare pointed toward insolvency by 2026, according to a report Monday by the government’s overseers of Medicare and Social Security.

It paints a sobering picture of the programs, though it’s relatively unchanged from last year’s update. Social Security would become insolvent in 2035, one year later than previously estimated.

Both programs will need to eventually be addressed to avert automatic cuts should their trust funds run dry. Neither President Donald Trump nor Capitol Hill’s warring factions has put political perilous cost curbs on their to-do list. [ Source: CBN News (Read More...) ]

  1. We've known that for 50 years.

It's the new area our (US) society plans to cull. They are already working to do exactly that. Mostly because younger and younger US Senators and Representatives replace the old ones who didn't bother to fix this either. Because the older Senators and Representatives will be done getting theirs before SSA and Medicare defaults (dies) so what do they care? At best, they believe, they are here to serve the people who already exist. In 2026, it will be their children who haven't saved up, to die or live ultra-horrible lives on US soil.

To a large degree the new and younger (recently) elected, and not yet elected, Senators and Representatives, will be taught "the ropes" of how to perform there by the old and/or outgoing ones. And the Islamic ones getting in are more interested in destroying the way the US Senate and House has worked so far - to their advantage.

There really is no better way to kill off a huge burden on the economy both now and later than for the USA to do nothing to fix SSA and Medicare. The Dems are hopeing for Medicare for all and while they put their faith in that, and it never happens, again, nothing gets done.

Hope is a fine thing. It keeps Depression and Despair away, even false hope. However, only hope placed where it may come true works, in the end.
