(Worthy News) – A Sri Lankan minister says an initial investigation shows the deadly Easter Sunday attacks were carried out in retaliation for last month’s Christchurch mosque shootings.
Islamic State has also claimed responsibility for the bombings, releasing undated footage and a photo purporting to show the attackers pledging allegiance to the extremist terrorist group.
The remarks come amid reports Indian intelligence officials had alerted Sri Lankan authorities to an imminent Islamist threat just hours before the suicide bomb attacks. [ Source: ABC News (Read More…) ]
