Undercover cops raid Christian wedding in Pakistan

by Jordan Hilger, Worthy News Correspondent

(Worthy News) – Four policemen disguised as civilians attacked a Christian wedding in Punjab province, Pakistan, damaging homes, hurling abusive slurs at women guests, and registering a case against the Christians involved.

A video uploaded to Facebook of the December 5 incident shows the men calling Christian women “kanjries,” or prostitutes, and all the Christians present “Choori,” which roughly translates to an unclean person in the Islamic parlance.

“Those injured were refused medical treatment at the nearest hospital, as per the police directives to the medical staff,” said Bishop John Samuel of Faisalabad.

One young Christian man was pummeled by police when he attempted to defend his sister, whose dressed they’d ripped and whom they’d strong-armed into the street.
