(Worthy News) – More than 1,000 Christians were killed in Nigeria in the last year and more than 6,000 since 2015 according to findings from “Your Land or Your Blood,” a new report by Humanitarian Aid Relief Trust.
The reports’ findings were presented at the International Organisation for Peace and Social Justice crisis conference in London last month and supplement what the Nigerian House of Representatives has already called a genocide of Christians by Muslim Fulani herdsmen.
“Every day we carry new corpses to the cemetery. They kill farmers. They destroy our homes and churches. They kidnap and rape women,” said an unnamed pastor in the report.
The Fulani pastoralist ethnic group stretches across 20 African countries and was ranked as the fourth most deadly terrorist group in the world in the Global Terrorism Index of 2016 and 2017.
