(Worthy News) – Islamic radicals have killed 250 mostly Christian people in Burkina Faso since last April, a new report by Human Rights Watch gathered.

The West African country is one of the “fastest-growing displacement crises,” the report states, as hundreds of thousands have been forced to flee the assaults of Al Qaida affiliates Ansaroul Islam and Islamic State in Greater Sahara.

In addition to openly terroristic groups, the predominantly Muslim Fulani, a nomadic herder group that recently has begun to seize the lands of Christian farmers across West Africa, also has a foothold in Burkina Faso.

The country is number 28 on Open Doors USA’s recently released World Watch List, despite once having been a peaceful place, with many Christians forced by Islamists to renounce their faith or die in the last year.
